I know I haven't posted for a while, I've been sooooo busy. Being a homeschooled senior means that this is the 'catch-up-on-everything-I'm-behind-in' year. :p
But since The Blood of Olympus is coming out on Tuesday I thought I'd do a post about how this is the final book. I know we've got the Norse series coming but it just won't be the same. For the last five or six years Percy Jackson has been my life. I was like 12 or 13 when I started my journey with The Sea of Monsters (yeah, I started with the second one.) My sister and I devored all the books that were out, Lightning Thief through Battle of the Labyrinth. So we aren't fans that started with the first book and had to wait for the second. We only had to wait for The Last Olympian and every book in Heroes of Olympus. I remember reading the first book so fast. I remember Grover Unexpectedly Loses His Pants. In The Sea of Monsters I remember freaking about because Grover was missing. I remember that I really started hardcore shiping Percabeth in The Titan's Curse and feeling so many feels for Nico. I remember being scared for Luke in The Battle of the Labyrinth. And there were many tears in The Last Olympian. I remember freaking out when I read "As the first Percy Jackson series comes to a close." That was an "OMG there's going to be more" momnet.
Then we read the first chapters of The Lost Hero online and found out that Percy was freaking missing. I was so upset. But I ended up loving that book. We adventured all over again with Leo, Piper and Jason. I was wary of new characters at first but now I love them. In The Son of Neptune we cried over Percy's lost memory and totally shiped Frank and Hazel. I remember being so enraged at having to wait for the Percabeth reunion. In The Mark of Athena we set off with all of the Seven demigods together for the first time only to end with them separatted at the end. :( I cried so hard.
Then I cried more in HoH as Percy and Annabeth endured horrible hells and as painful secrets came out. (Still love you, Nico!) Now we are facing the final battle and we know that there will be death, there will be tears but hopefully there will be some sort of a happy ending.
But we've traveled so far with these demigods. Percy Jackson has been my life. Different stages of my life can be marked by which HoO book I was waiting for and different things I was freaking out about and headcannons I was coming up with. After all these years. . . it's over. This is the end of Percy Jackson. . .
On Tuesday I will hold a brand new book in my hands for the last time.
I'll break open a new story for the last time.
I'll read non-stop for the last time.
Then the adventure will end.
For the last time.

Taking A Break
Okay guys, I'm seeing just how much schoolwork and extra stuff I'm going to have going on this year. My school year starts on September 2nd but Bible Quizzing Starts August 24th and I have to work on the material about an hour each day already to have the first chapter of James memorized by the first practice. (I'm like 5 verses away!)
And my parents have suddenly decided that we might want to finish some yard work and other chores we have outside before it starts getting cold. So I am not going to be able to post anymore until I finish school sometime around June, maybe before since I graduate after this year I can finish whenever I finish so we'll see how that goes. I really wish that I could continue writing through the school year but I just can't. Maybe I'll find time to do an occasional post but I don't think so, not long ones anyway. Maybe I'll do some story updates over breaks or some "Hey I'm still alive!" posts.
So for now, even though my story is left hanging, goodbye.

:D
I'm just starting to realize just how busy I'm going to be this fall. It's my senior year of high school and I;m not sure I'll be able to keep posting through the school year. I will try and keep posting for as long as I can but I can't promise anything.
But here's more of the story!
The three demigods stood on the curb in a small town somewhere between camp and Manhattan. The plan had been to go into Manhattan and from there find a large bus station, hopefully still running busses. They had no such luck. Traffic was so bad that they hadn’t gotten close to Manhattan. Instead they were in some small town with a tiny bus station that was not running busses at the time. No taxi drivers were willing to go anywhere either. The darkness was terrifying all the mortals.
“I guess we walk from here?” Ben asked.
“But we don’t even know where to go,” Helen protested, “West. Big help. How are we ever going to find Apollo?”
“Maybe we need to seek out a different seer?” Mallory suggested. “Once when my father was on a quest to find Artemis he had to find this old crusty seer dude because Apollo couldn’t see Artemis. So maybe this dude’s oracle isn’t connected to Apollo’s and he’ll be able to find him.”
Helen looked wary, “I guess it could be worth a try. Where do we find this guy?”
Mallory looked kinda sheepish, “Uhh. . .”
“Did you forget where he is?” Ben asked.
“Noo . . ,” said Mallory.
“Then tell us, even if it’s someplace bad we can handle it, we’re demigods,” said Helen.
“Well it’s not exactly like a bad neighborhood or anything, it just happens,” Mallory took a deep breath and closed her eyes, “That he happens to be in California.” She opened one eye to peer at her friends.
“California!” exclaimed Ben and Helen in unison.
“That’s on the other side of the country!” Helen yelled.
Mallory winced, “I know.”
“Well it’s our only option so far,” said Ben.
Helen sighed, “I guess we’d better start walking then.” She started walking down the road, when Ben and Mallory didn’t follow she paused, “Aren’t you guys coming?” she asked.
“Don’t you think we ought to buy a map?” Ben asked.
“Oh, yeah,” Helen said with a frown. “Lead the way to the gas station!”
All three of them laughed as they started toward the gas station to really begin their journey.

Sorry that I still don't have anything for you guys. I've been so busy. Normally I write my story while I'm supposed to be doing Spanish and since I haven't been doing school I haven't gotten any writing time.
I don't want this blog to die a slow death like my previous blog so I really will try and write.

Sorry that it's so short, but here's the next instalment!
This quest was going to be different from regular quests. Nobody had ever gone on a quest during perpetual night before, there would be things made easier by the darkness and things made harder. The mortals knew that something was wrong and they were scrambling to figure it out. Many thought that the world was ending. Monsters were using the darkness as cover to commit crimes in the immortal worlds. There was chaos all around and it was going to be stopped by three untrained kids.
They stood at the top of half-blood hill with heavy packs, industrial flashlights and their very own 100% celestial bronze weapons.
“The van can take you into town, from there you’re on your own,” said Annabeth. “I doubt that the busses will be running so you’ll have to be creative.”
Ben glanced nervously at the harpies who were going to drive the van, “Are you sure it’s safe?” he asked.
“The harpies are great drivers,” said Percy, “So don’t worry.”
“Take these,” Rachel said, pressing a net bag of golden drachma into Helen’s hands, “They can be used as payment in the immortal world or to send iris messages.”
“And pay attention to your dreams!” Added Piper. “Demigod dreams are always important.”
The three kids nodded and loaded their gear into the van. Mallory hugged her father, mother and brother goodbye. “I’ll see you soon,” she said.
Percy swept Mallory into a hug, “Be safe,” he whispered.
Mallory pulled back and smiled at her father, “I will,” she promised.
So Percy let her go, because in Mallory’s stormy grey eyes, he saw Annabeth.
After saying farewell to everyone, Mallory, Helen and Ben finally climbed into the van to begin their very first quest.
“So what’s the plan?” Ben asked as the van pulled away with a lurch.
“I honestly have no idea,” said Helen.

Hey, I'm working on the next instalment of my story.
I know I haven't been posting much. The story is getting harder to write and I'm getting busier.
But hopefully I'll have something for you guys soon.
