The 57 Book Stack (Plus one collection of 16 short stories!)

I was thinking about how I love the library and how much I miss the days when I would leave with a stack of books so big that I had to use my chin to keep them from falling over.

So I wanted to do this really cute picture of me holding a stack of my fave books.

But the pile of favorite books just kept getting bigger and bigger until I couldn't pick it up anymore.

It would have been as tall as me if I had put the Harry Potter books on the pile instead of holding them, but they were the last books I grabbed and the 7th one is so big it would have had to be near the bottom of the pile and there was no way I was going to do that.

The books are more or less piled by size and how I pulled them off the shelves, not author, series, or which book I loved best. 

AND these are not all my faves just the ones I have in the house. Plus I totally forgot about The 39 Clues.

And The House of Hades is not in the pile because my brother is reading it and I couldn't find it.

So that pile (plus the books in my arms) is 57 books (plus 1 collection of 16 short stories.) tall!

I absolutely do not ship Percy and Nico but this was funny.

Costumes!

I found some cute fan art of different characters in costumes and thought that since Halloween is coming soon that it'd make a perfect post.
My family doesn't celebrate Halloween but, for my theater class we (the students) were told that we could come in costume for class on November 1 (since it's right after Halloween.) I might not wear a costume, since I've never done that before. But I might, go as either a witch or a vampire if I can find some cheap stuff. (like a pointy hat and a long black skirt...) I wanted to go as a demigod but I look horrible in orange so I'm not going to buy/make a camp half-blood shirt that I'm only going to wear once.

I wanted to find H.o.H fan-art but there's not much on pinterest right now. Just a ton of Nico pictures everywhere and I'm not in the mood for that.

So a few days ago my sister and I were talking about Frank having the blessing of Ares/Mars and how awesome it was and my sister said, "It's kinda sad that he's not chubby and cute anymore, but now he's taller and stronger and sorta hot instead of cute."

And I'm like, "Hot Frank?"  *does not compute* "Whaaat?"

HOUSE OF HADES SPOILER

SPOILER ALERT
THIS POST CONTAINS A MAJOR SPOILER FROM THE HOUSE OF HADES.
Unless you WANT to see a spoiler do not read unless you have at least finished chaper 36 of HoH.
I do spoil a little of the ending here though.

This picture is totally accurate. There I was loving the book until about halfway through. Chapter 36 has a major drama bomb, a huge secret about Nico.  I'm very mad with Rick Riordan right now. I am so messed up.

     So Jason and Nico are trying to get a scepter from Cupid and Cupid wants Nico to face his feelings about the person he cares about most.

So we all thought that he had a crush on Annabeth.
Nope.
He was jealous of Annabeth . . .
Jason sees some visions from Nico's past.
  How Percy was Nico's hero, the first demigod he ever met and his favorite game (Mythomagic) come to life.
Then Nico said, "I hated myself, I hated Percy Jackson."
Then Cupid is pressing Nico and we get this drama bomb....


"I had a crush on Percy!" Nico spat, "That's the truth. That's the big secret."


O_O I died.

Jason was talking with him and Nico said that he gave up on Percy but Jason wasn't sure that was true.

But this might not be a permanent thing... I don't know.
Personaly I think that Nico isn't . . . gay.
I mean he was ten (and he's only 14 now.)
He's young and Percy was his hero.
This can be something he can overcome.
He sounded disgusted with himself.

Percy doesn't know. I don't know if he ever will. Only Jason knows right now.
I think Bianca knew though.

Lets talk about the ending.
Bob the Titan closed the Doors of Death!!!
Percy, Annabeth, Jason, Piper, Lep, Frank, Hazel and Nico are all still alive!!

Yay!!!!

The Book had a nice happy ending, probably to make up for all the heavy depressing stuff throughout the whole book.

ONE MORE FREAKING DAY

I'm getting excited, the House of Hades comes out tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I won't be posting here until I finish the book, 1-3 days depending on how much reading time I get. Because I find the fan-art I post here on Pinterest and I don't want to see any spoilers before I finish the book.
 Then I'll start posting again and I will put a spoiler alert in the title if my post contains spoilers.

Lets hope Percy and Annabeth survive.

(Grrr spell check thinks that 'Annabeth' should be 'Annabel'. Maybe Mr.D controls it.)
