Taking A Break

Okay guys, I'm seeing just how much schoolwork and extra stuff I'm going to have going on this year. My school year starts on September 2nd but Bible Quizzing Starts August 24th and I have to work on the material about an hour each day already to have the first chapter of James memorized by the first practice. (I'm like 5 verses away!)
And my parents have suddenly decided that we might want to finish some yard work and other chores we have outside before it starts getting cold. So I am not going to be able to post anymore until I finish school sometime around June, maybe before since I graduate after this year I can finish whenever I finish so we'll see how that goes. I really wish that I could continue writing through the school year but I just can't. Maybe I'll find time to do an occasional post but I don't think so, not long ones anyway. Maybe I'll do some story updates over breaks or some "Hey I'm still alive!" posts.
So for now, even though my story is left hanging, goodbye.

:D

I'm just starting to realize just how busy I'm going to be this fall. It's my senior year of high school and I;m not sure I'll be able to keep posting through the school year. I will try and keep posting for as long as I can but I can't promise anything.
But here's more of the story!

The three demigods stood on the curb in a small town somewhere between camp and Manhattan. The plan had been to go into Manhattan and from there find a large bus station, hopefully still running busses. They had no such luck. Traffic was so bad that they hadn’t gotten close to Manhattan. Instead they were in some small town with a tiny bus station that was not running busses at the time. No taxi drivers were willing to go anywhere either. The darkness was terrifying all the mortals.
“I guess we walk from here?” Ben asked.
“But we don’t even know where to go,” Helen protested, “West. Big help. How are we ever going to find Apollo?”
“Maybe we need to seek out a different seer?” Mallory suggested. “Once when my father was on a quest to find Artemis he had to find this old crusty seer dude because Apollo couldn’t see Artemis. So maybe this dude’s oracle isn’t connected to Apollo’s and he’ll be able to find him.”
Helen looked wary, “I guess it could be worth a try. Where do we find this guy?”
Mallory looked kinda sheepish, “Uhh. . .”
“Did you forget where he is?” Ben asked.
“Noo . . ,” said Mallory.
“Then tell us, even if it’s someplace bad we can handle it, we’re demigods,” said Helen.
“Well it’s not exactly like a bad neighborhood or anything, it just happens,” Mallory took a deep breath and closed her eyes, “That he happens to be in California.”  She opened one eye to peer at her friends.
“California!” exclaimed Ben and Helen in unison.
“That’s on the other side of the country!” Helen yelled.
Mallory winced, “I know.”
“Well it’s our only option so far,” said Ben.
Helen sighed, “I guess we’d better start walking then.” She started walking down the road, when Ben and Mallory didn’t follow she paused, “Aren’t you guys coming?” she asked.
“Don’t you think we ought to buy a map?” Ben asked.
“Oh, yeah,” Helen said with a frown. “Lead the way to the gas station!”
All three of them laughed as they started toward the gas station to really begin their journey.
