The End Is Near

I know I haven't posted for a while, I've been sooooo busy. Being a homeschooled senior means that this is the 'catch-up-on-everything-I'm-behind-in' year. :p

But since The Blood of Olympus is coming out on Tuesday I thought I'd do a post about how this is the final book. I know we've got the Norse series coming but it just won't be the same. For the last five or six years Percy Jackson has been my life. I was like 12 or 13 when I started my journey with The Sea of Monsters (yeah, I started with the second one.) My sister and I devored all the books that were out, Lightning Thief through Battle of the Labyrinth. So we aren't fans that started with the first book and had to wait for the second. We only had to wait for The  Last Olympian and every book in Heroes of Olympus. I remember reading the first book so fast. I remember Grover Unexpectedly Loses His Pants. In The Sea of Monsters I remember freaking about because Grover was missing. I remember that I really started hardcore shiping Percabeth in The Titan's Curse and feeling so many feels for Nico. I remember being scared for Luke in The Battle of the Labyrinth. And there were many tears in The Last Olympian. I remember freaking out when I read "As the first Percy Jackson series comes to a close." That was an "OMG there's going to be more" momnet.
Then we read the first chapters of The Lost Hero online and found out that Percy was freaking missing. I was so upset. But I ended up loving that book. We adventured all over again with Leo, Piper and Jason. I was wary of new characters at first but now I love them. In The Son of Neptune we cried over Percy's lost memory and totally shiped Frank and Hazel. I remember being so enraged at having to wait for the Percabeth reunion. In The Mark of Athena we set off with all of the Seven demigods together for the first time only to end with them separatted at the end. :( I cried so hard.
Then I cried more in HoH as Percy and Annabeth endured horrible hells and as painful secrets came out. (Still love you, Nico!) Now we are facing the final battle and we know that there will be death, there will be tears but hopefully there will be some sort of a happy ending.
But we've traveled so far with these demigods. Percy Jackson has been my life. Different stages of my life can be marked by which HoO book I was waiting for and different things I was freaking out about and headcannons I was coming up with. After all these years. . . it's over. This is the end of Percy Jackson. . .
On Tuesday  I will hold a brand new book in my hands for the last time.
I'll break open a new story for the last time.
I'll read non-stop for the last time.
Then the adventure will end.
For the last time.

Taking A Break

Okay guys, I'm seeing just how much schoolwork and extra stuff I'm going to have going on this year. My school year starts on September 2nd but Bible Quizzing Starts August 24th and I have to work on the material about an hour each day already to have the first chapter of James memorized by the first practice. (I'm like 5 verses away!)
And my parents have suddenly decided that we might want to finish some yard work and other chores we have outside before it starts getting cold. So I am not going to be able to post anymore until I finish school sometime around June, maybe before since I graduate after this year I can finish whenever I finish so we'll see how that goes. I really wish that I could continue writing through the school year but I just can't. Maybe I'll find time to do an occasional post but I don't think so, not long ones anyway. Maybe I'll do some story updates over breaks or some "Hey I'm still alive!" posts.
So for now, even though my story is left hanging, goodbye.

:D

I'm just starting to realize just how busy I'm going to be this fall. It's my senior year of high school and I;m not sure I'll be able to keep posting through the school year. I will try and keep posting for as long as I can but I can't promise anything.
But here's more of the story!

The three demigods stood on the curb in a small town somewhere between camp and Manhattan. The plan had been to go into Manhattan and from there find a large bus station, hopefully still running busses. They had no such luck. Traffic was so bad that they hadn’t gotten close to Manhattan. Instead they were in some small town with a tiny bus station that was not running busses at the time. No taxi drivers were willing to go anywhere either. The darkness was terrifying all the mortals.
“I guess we walk from here?” Ben asked.
“But we don’t even know where to go,” Helen protested, “West. Big help. How are we ever going to find Apollo?”
“Maybe we need to seek out a different seer?” Mallory suggested. “Once when my father was on a quest to find Artemis he had to find this old crusty seer dude because Apollo couldn’t see Artemis. So maybe this dude’s oracle isn’t connected to Apollo’s and he’ll be able to find him.”
Helen looked wary, “I guess it could be worth a try. Where do we find this guy?”
Mallory looked kinda sheepish, “Uhh. . .”
“Did you forget where he is?” Ben asked.
“Noo . . ,” said Mallory.
“Then tell us, even if it’s someplace bad we can handle it, we’re demigods,” said Helen.
“Well it’s not exactly like a bad neighborhood or anything, it just happens,” Mallory took a deep breath and closed her eyes, “That he happens to be in California.”  She opened one eye to peer at her friends.
“California!” exclaimed Ben and Helen in unison.
“That’s on the other side of the country!” Helen yelled.
Mallory winced, “I know.”
“Well it’s our only option so far,” said Ben.
Helen sighed, “I guess we’d better start walking then.” She started walking down the road, when Ben and Mallory didn’t follow she paused, “Aren’t you guys coming?” she asked.
“Don’t you think we ought to buy a map?” Ben asked.
“Oh, yeah,” Helen said with a frown. “Lead the way to the gas station!”
All three of them laughed as they started toward the gas station to really begin their journey.

7/30/14

Sorry that I still don't have anything for you guys. I've been so busy. Normally I write my story while I'm supposed to be doing Spanish and since I haven't been doing school I haven't gotten any writing time.
I don't want this blog to die a slow death like my previous blog so I really will try and write.

I'm Lame

I'm sorry that I haven't been posting much but I've been so busy with VBS at my church that I haven't had time for anything else. I'm so sorry for not having anything more for you guys.
I'm lame.
I suck.
I'll try and write more.

7/12/2014

Sorry that it's so short, but here's the next instalment!

This quest was going to be different from regular quests. Nobody had ever gone on a quest during perpetual night before, there would be things made easier by the darkness and things made harder. The mortals knew that something was wrong and they were scrambling to figure it out. Many thought that the world was ending. Monsters were using the darkness as cover to commit crimes in the immortal worlds. There was chaos all around and it was going to be stopped by three untrained kids.
They stood at the top of half-blood hill with heavy packs, industrial flashlights and their very own 100% celestial bronze weapons.
“The van can take you into town, from there you’re on your own,” said Annabeth. “I doubt that the busses will be running so you’ll have to be creative.”
Ben glanced nervously at the harpies who were going to drive the van, “Are you sure it’s safe?” he asked.
“The harpies are great drivers,” said Percy, “So don’t worry.”
“Take these,” Rachel said, pressing a net bag of golden drachma into Helen’s hands, “They can be used as payment in the immortal world or to send iris messages.”
“And pay attention to your dreams!” Added Piper. “Demigod dreams are always important.”
The three kids nodded and loaded their gear into the van. Mallory hugged her father, mother and brother goodbye. “I’ll see you soon,” she said.
Percy swept Mallory into a hug, “Be safe,” he whispered.
Mallory pulled back and smiled at her father, “I will,” she promised.
So Percy let her go, because in Mallory’s stormy grey eyes, he saw Annabeth.
After saying farewell to everyone, Mallory, Helen and Ben finally climbed into the van to begin their very first quest.
“So what’s the plan?” Ben asked as the van pulled away with a lurch.
“I honestly have no idea,” said Helen.

7/8/14

Hey, I'm working on the next instalment of my story.
I know I haven't been posting much. The story is getting harder to write and I'm getting busier.
But hopefully I'll have something for you guys soon.

7/5/14

Yeah, I know I said that I was going to post yesterday, but I forgot that it was the 4th of July.
Anyway, here are my pictures from the trip. The  pictures of rocks and mountains are from the Garden of the Gods. We weren't in the same area as Percy and friends but it's still beautiful. ♥
This is the outside of the chapel at the United States Air Force Academy.

The stained-glass windows go all the way up to the ceiling.
I love the windows.

When we went to Focus on the Family we had to wear a sticker to show that we had paid. After we were done
lots of people somehow stuck their stickers to one guys hat. Without him noticing.

7/3/14

The trip I went on was wonderful! I will continue to explain.
So on Wednesday June 18 my sister and I loaded our luggage into our dad's car then we and our family drove to our church, where everyone was meeting.
So we get to church at 5:15 as requested. For the next 45 minuets we watch the adults and a few of the boys try to get everyone's luggage to fit in the underneath storage. Eventually we get everything to fit and it's time to board the bus. We ended up leaving the church parking lot somewhere around 6pm which was our goal. So seats get chosen and drinks and snacks passed around. It would take forever and be fairly boring for me to explain the whole 18 hour bus ride.
18 hours?
Yeah, and that didn't even get us close to Colorado.
We drove almost non-stop from our church to Frontier School of the Bible in Wyoming. We slept (or tried to) on the bus Wednesday night. We made a few bathroom stops during the night and one stop for breakfast in the morning.
We went through some bad storms (if you live on/near the east coast you'll know what I'm talking about because some of those storms came this way).
Our amazing youth pastor, P.T drove the whole night, WITHOUT SLEEPING. We had various people from our group keeping him awake throughout the night by playing the Alphabet game and talking about theology.
I did not get any sleep on the bus that night so when we finally got to FSB I was just about ready to crash.
We all got to pick our rooms (within reason, boys in the boys dorm and girls in the girls dorm.).
I roomed with one of my best friends and my sister was down the hall with some of the other girls.
When we got into the rooms I looked around a realized that I didn't pack a sleeping bag (because I never got the packing list), I had only brought one pillow and one tiny blanket. There were no sheets on the bed.
Also, we were supposed to bring towels for the shower. Did I have one? No.
One of my friends had brought a huge fleece blanket so she let me borrow her sleeping bag. (Thanks G!)
As for the showers? I was out of luck.
So we had lunch and dinner at FSB and after dinner we got a tour of the campus and an opportunity  for the youth ensemble to rehearse our song. (We preformed I can only Imagine by Bart Millard/Mercy Me)
I didn't sleep very well that night either. It was good to sleep on a mattress but the beds were super creaky, some girls forgot about the time change and set their alarms for 4 in the morning and there was a train that went by in the middle of the night.
On Friday we went to the United States Air Force Academy and we also toured Focus on the Family.
I have pictures from those stops but you'll have to wait until tomorrow's post. ;)

I'm baaaack!

I'm back from my trip and man, was it an amazing time.
I'll be doing a longer post soon with pictures that I took! :D

Next Instalment :)

Hi guys! I'm sorry it's been taking me so long to get these posts written. I've got more of the story ready for you!  This will be my last post until after I get back from Convention. I'm not leaving until the 18th but I'm going to be busy with church activities and murdering 48 fat chickens. (We're raising meat chickens, we let them get fat then kill them and put them in the freezer to eat through out the year.) I hate murdering them but I can't get out of it and I kinda like to eat.
After I get back I'll share what I did! I'll take lots of pictures, especially when we go to the Garden of the Gods. :)
Here's the story!

Coach Hedge was the first to break the silence, “The Di Angelo boy had a KID?! When did that happen?”
“Did you say son of Eirene?” asked Mallory’s mother.
Mallory saw her father and Jason share a confused look. Actually, everyone looked confused, not just them.
“Surely he would have told us,” said Jason.
“Wait,” Ben said, “You guys knew my father?”
Everyone nodded.
“Yeah, we kinda went on a very dangerous quest to save the world with him,” said Leo. “He saved our butts several times.”
“Ben, how old are you?” asked Annabeth.
“I’m twelve, why?” Ben didn’t seem to understand why everyone was so astounded by who his father was.
“The last time we saw your father was five years ago,” Annabeth said, “At a reunion Percy and I hosted.”
“You think he would have told us that he had a kid,” said Percy. “And I think I would have remembered if he had brought you along.”
“Wait,” said Mallory, “I think that he was there.”
“What?” everyone looked at her.
“Yeah, what?” echoed Ben.
“I don’t remember well since it was a while ago but I remember playing with a boy down on the beach the night of the reunion. I had wandered quite a ways away from everyone because I was following a hippocampus and trying to get it to talk to me.” She paused because she didn’t like to draw attention to the fact that unlike Charles and her father, she couldn’t understand fish or horses. “But I remember a boy all alone on the beach. He said he was waiting for his dad but that his dad was taking a long time and he was lonely on the beach. So we played together until a man came and took him away and sent me back to the house. I remember being freaked out because the man knew my name,” She looked at Ben. “Do you remember?” she asked.
Ben frowned but then said; “Yeah, I think I remember but, does it matter?” he looked at her quizzically.
“No, it doesn’t really,” said Annabeth, seeing that Ben was uncomfortable. “What had we been talking about?”
“About Nico having a kid?” Percy offered helpfully.
“No before that,” said Annabeth.
“We came here to talk to the oracle. I’m leading a quest and Mallory and Ben are coming with me,” said Helen.
“You’re going on a quest!” Percy interrupted, “Mallory that’s awesome! I—‘’ Percy was cut off when Annabeth gave him a look and a meaningful cough.
“Oh,” said Percy. “I mean, congrats on getting a quest Helen. You were saying?”
Helen smiled at Percy then sobered as she told about her quest.
“Well that explains why it’s dark!” exclaimed Leo after Helen had finished talking.
Everyone else looked worried. “Who would kidnap Apollo?” asked Percy. “I don’t think I could spend more than an hour around that dude. Bad, er . . . interesting poetry and all that.”
  “Don’t be disrespectful,” chided Piper.
“Can you see anything?” Mallory asked Rachel and Nymna.
Everyone fell silent as Rachel and Nymna concentrated.
After a disconcertingly long time Rachel and Nymna opened their eyes.
“I can’t see anything,” said Nymna shooting Rachel a worried look.”
“I couldn’t see anything either,” Rachel said.
“Is something blocking Apollo from your sight?” Annabeth asked.
Rachel and Nymna shook their heads. “It’s like I don’t even have the sight.” Rachel sounded worried.
“Well, the Oracle of Delphi is Apollo’s oracle,” said Jason. “Maybe since something has happened to him that’s why you can’t see anything.”
Rachel nodded, “That does make sense.”
“So no guidance for our quest?” Ben asked.
Rachel shook her head and said, “I’m sorry but no.”
“West,” Nymna said, “I couldn’t see anything but that much I know. You must go west.”
Helen slapped a palm to her forehead.
  “What?” Mallory asked.
“We’re in Long Island,” said Helen, “Almost everything is west of here!”

To Be Continued . . .

Blood Of Olympus Cover Review and Book Expectations

Okay, I've been asked to do a review of the Blood of Olympus cover so yeah, I'll start talking about it.

Above you see the recently released American cover for the Blood of Olympus.
I'll start with the obvious observations first.
Greek columns + giants = fighting Gaea on Mt. Olympus in Greece.
The three people easily appear to be (left to right) Frank with his spear, Jason flying and commanding lighting and Hazel riding Arion.
In the background we can see something hanging from a crane tower.
I've heard someone suggest that it's the Argo two but I don't think so. It just doesn't look like a boat.
At first I thought that it might be the Athena Parthanos somehow captured by the giants.
But then I saw this image (below) done by someone else and it makes sense.

It does appear to be Percy and Annabeth. This worries me but I still don't think that either of them will die.
You can see some lightning arcing around them and that might be Jason trying to free them somehow. Although I don't see how that would work.
Maybe it's just the perspective.

Some people were worried by the fact that there are only 3 (clear) demigods on the cover and the fact that 3 is a sacred number for quests and quests with more than three members often have only 3 members survive.
So does this mean that only Jason, Frank and Hazel will survive? Meaning that Percy, Annabeth, Piper and Leo would die?
I don't think so. In The Battle of the Labyrinth we had a large quest (Annabeth, Percy, Grover, Tyson and (in the end) Rachel.) They all survived.
I saw somewhere, someone said that Rick Riordan has said that he never has more than three characters on the cover.
But I do think that there will be deaths of main characters during this book.
If they didn't have to fight Gaea it would be boring in my opinion.
So for them to fight Gaea, she would have to 'awaken' fully.
For that to happen a girl demigod and a boy demigod have to die.
Rick Riordan has said that not all of the 7 would survive.
Gaea would prefer Percabeth to be the sacrifice but I don't think that Rick would kill them both off.
I'm not sure who will die.

I think:
Something is going to happen with Frank's firewood.
Percy's fatal flaw will come into play.
Hazel might die since she's supposed to be dead.
The 'oath to keep with a final breath' might pertain to Leo swearing to return for Calypso.
Nico is going to have to confront/confess to Percy.
Nico might die.
Reyna might die.

We Know 100% for sure:
Basically nothing.
We know Jason has a POV. ( first chapter preview released in recent e-book)
We Know Nico has a POV. (Rick Riordan said so on twitter.)

5/14/14

Hi everyone! I have another instalment/chapter of Second Generation Demigods ready!
I found time to work on it when I was supposed to be doing spanish or memorizing bible verses for Survival. (Like Vacation Bible School only for teens.)
I sacraficed 60 points to get this story to you so be greatful! ;)  (60 points, because we get 10 points per verse and I memorized 1 out of 7.)
It might be a while before I post again because I really should do spanish instead of writting. These past few weeks when I'm supposed to be using my mom's computer for spanish I've been writting instead.
And I'll need to work on my memory verses more, there are 12 verses for next week. >.<

My story isn't really 'short' anymore. Short stories are normaly about 1,000-1,200 words or less. Mine has now reached 10,879 words. It's the longest thing I've ever written!
And I will say, all my instalments that I post are the first draft. So sometimes there are mistakes. My sister was reading over what I've written (she loves new parts of the story as much as you guys do!) and she found a whole lot of little mistakes, misspelled words, missing words and incorrect or missing puncuation.
So just remember that most of the time I don't even re-read it after I've written it.
Most of the mistakes are so small I don't even notice them. And I'm sure that you can figure out what it's supposed to say if there is a mistake.
Without further blither-blathering here's more of the story!

By the light of a green torch Mallory lead Helen and Ben through camp towards the hills.  “Our Oracle lives in a cave, but it’s not drippy and dark like a normal cave. I’m not sure if she’ll be there but it’s the first place to check,” she said.
When they approached the entrance to the cave they heard worried voices talking about something. A woman with curly red hair turned as the group approached. “We have some visitors,” she announced to the other people, who Helen noticed, all except one were adults.
“Come on guys,” said Mallory. “I’ll introduce you.”
“You know all these people?” Helen asked.
Mallory nodded, “They’re all friends of my parents. I call them my ‘aunts and uncles’. We aren’t really related, but they’re like family.”
“So what brings you over here?” the woman with red hair asked Mallory as they entered the cave, “And who are your friends?”
“This is Ben and Helen,” Mallory said. “Guys, this is my ‘aunt’ but not really ‘aunt’, Rachel.”
“Nice to meet you,” Rachel said.
“We’re here so that Helen can consult the Oracle about her quest,” said Mallory.
A girl of about fourteen with long blonde braids stood and walked over, “Did someone say Oracle?” she asked.
Mallory nodded, “We’re here for guidance on our quest.” To Helen and Ben she said, “Meet our Oracle in training, Nymna.”
“Hi,” Nymna said shyly.
“Oracle in training?” Ben asked.
Rachel nodded, “I’m the Oracle right now. But the Oracle of Delphi lives in young maiden and I can feel my time with the gift of prophesy coming to an end soon, I’m not as young as I used to be.”
“She’s the same age as my parents,” Mallory whispered.
“And my sight has been getting stronger,” said Nymna. “Soon Rachel will pass the full gift along to me. Right now she is training and preparing me.”
“Come sit and we’ll make introductions while we wait for Mallory’s parents,” Said Rachel.
“My parents aren’t here already?” Mallory asked.
“They’re talking with Chiron before he leaves,” explained Rachel as she returned to her seat.
Helen and Ben took seats on the cushions scattered around the floor of the cave as Mallory gave quick hugs with her ‘aunts and uncles’ whom she hadn’t seen in a while. By the time Mallory took a seat her parents had arrived along with two satyrs, a tree nymph carrying a baby and a wind nymph. So she introduced everyone, pointing to each as she spoke. “Meet my parents, Percy and Annabeth. Shawn and Cassandra’s parents, Jason and Piper. That weirdo over there is my ‘uncle’ Leo and next to him is his wife Calypso. They have twins named Hector and Sammy who are our age and are around camp somewhere but I don’t think you’ve met them yet. Then there’s my dad’s best friend Grover,” she pointed to the younger looking satyr. “And the tree nymph is his wife Juniper, the baby is their youngest son, David Billy. They have two more kids, Rose and Birch who are older than us. And last but not least are Jackie’s parents,” Mallory gestured to the older satyr and the wind nymph. “Coach Glesson Hedge and his wife, Mellie. There’s also my aunt Hazel and uncle Frank but they’re not here.” Mallory took a deep breath. “Now for the slightly shorter introductions. This is Helen, daughter of Zeus,” She said, pointing to Helen.
  “Hi,” Helen waved at everyone.
Mallory paused before introducing Ben. Her parents and their friends had all known Ben’s father, but had they known of Ben? “And this is Ben . . . Di Angelo, son of Hades and Legacy of Eirene.”
There was stunned silence all around.

5/6/14

Hey, sorry I haven't been posting as often as I used to. I've been busy and I tend to lean toward reading over writing when I have free time in-bewteen schoolwork, chores, family time and church events.
But I got the next instalment of Second Generation Demigods done! It's shorter (only about 400ish words instead of 800-900) than some of the other instalments that I've done but that's only because I decided to end it with a little clifhanger. >:) Yes, I'm evil. Thank you.

“Well,” Helen began, “I guess you can come, who else would bring? I don’t have a lot of friends yet.” But she still looked unsure.
“What about me?” Interrupted Hannah. “I’m your friend.”
Ben bit his lip; he looked like he was afraid that Helen would pick Hannah over him.
“Do you want to come?” Helen asked Hannah.
“Heck no, I just got to camp and a quest sounds dangerous. I was just pointing out that you don’t have zero friends, you’ve got me, Mallory and Cassandra,” replied Hannah. “But you should consider bringing an older camper along, someone who knows what they’re doing.”
“We can’t have three unexperienced newbies on a quest anyway. You’d be doomed to fail,” Said Mary as she came over. “I could come instead of Ben and help you guys.”
Mallory rolled her eyes, Mary was making it seem like she was doing them a great favor, offering to come along on the quest when really she was basically demanding to be brought along.
Helen glared at Mary, clearly insulted. “If you don’t think that three ‘unexperienced newbies’ couldn’t finish a quest then I guess we’ll just have to prove you wrong,” she said, “Ben you’re in.”
Mary scowled and turned to Chiron, “Do you really think it’s a good idea to let three newbies go on a quest all by themselves?” she demanded.
“Helen has the right to choose the members of her quest,” Said Chiron, “And Mallory has some experience. Helen is the leader of this quest and her decision stands.”
“But do you think it’s a good idea?” Mary pressed. “You didn’t really answer my question.
Chiron sighed, “It is not what I would have chosen, but I have faith in these demigods. There has been many a quest with unexperienced members that has prevailed. What better way to prepare demigods for the life ahead of them than to jump right in?”
Mary scowled; she knew there would be no changing the quest group. She glared at all of them as she walked away but particularly Ben. She wasn’t happy to have her new, younger, half-brother on the quest instead of her.
Helen made a rude hand-gesture at Mary’s back then turned back to the group. “So now what?” she asked.
“Maybe you should consult the Oracle?” Mallory suggested.
“What’s the Oracle?” Helen and Ben asked in unison.
Mallory grinned, “More like, ‘who is the Oracle.’ Come on, I’ll introduce you.”

(See? Aren't I evil? I thought it was a good place to end this instalment.)

4/29/2014

Hey guys, sorry I haven't posted for a while. I've been busy.
I'm working on the next part of my story but I haven't finished it yet.
I don't have to many more events coming up though so I'll have more time to work on it. There are only two more Youth Group meetings until we're done for the summer. I have a bunch of open houses that I don't know if I'm going to go to or not and I have my church's Sr. Honors Banquet. (To celebrate the graduating high school seniors, I'm not a senior but everyone in high school is invited to come.)
All that is spread out over weeks and months so I'll have plenty of time to work on my story until June.
In June I'll be gone from the 18th to the 29th for a youth convention, so I won't be writing.
As summer comes how much I post will depend on how much garden/outside work my parents have me do and if my dad decideds to limit computer use for the summer.

What you've all been waiting for . . .

THE NEXT INSTALAION OF SECOND GENERATION DEMIGODS!!!!
I finished it! I hope you like it.
I even know what I'm going to do for the start of the part after this, so maybe I have beaten the writer's block!

“What?” squeaked Helen, “What’s a quest, and how does my dad think I’m going to find Apollo? Up until a few weeks ago I didn’t even believe in the gods.”
“A quest is when three demigods set out to fulfill a prophesy or to do something for the gods,” Said Mallory. “What exactly did Zeus tell you, that Apollo has been kidnapped?”
“No, just that Apollo has gone missing and might have been kidnapped, and that I need to find him to prove myself as his daughter or something,” complained Helen. “He was going to say something more but the dream was cut off by something that sounded like a cow mooing and then I woke up.”
  “A cow?” asked Mallory, confused.
“Sounds like a weird dream,” said Hannah suddenly popping up behind Helen. “What’s up?”
“Zeus talked to Helen,” Said Mallory.
“What?” said Jackie as he came trotting up, “Zeus?”
“Yes, get with it,” Said Hannah.
“Helen’s been given a quest by Zeus himself,” said Mallory.
“Does it have anything to do with this weird darkness?” Jackie asked.
“Zeus said that Apollo is missing,” said Helen, “And doesn’t Apollo control the sun or something?” Jackie nodded and was going to say something but Helen continued talking. “Anyway what do you think the whole cow interrupting Zeus thing meant?”
“The cow is one of Hera’s sacred animals,” explained Jackie, “Hera isn’t normally fond of Zeus’ children by mortal women so she might have cut off the dream to prevent Zeus from giving you the quest and getting glory or credit or something like that.”
“Didn’t you say that Zeus said that Apollo was missing, not kidnapped?” asked Hannah. “Aren’t the gods notorious for disappearing for short periods of time?” When she received weird looks from the others she shrugged and said, “What? I’ve always loved Greek mythology so I paid attention in class when we were learning about it. So anyway, what if Apollo isn’t really ‘missing’? He could have decided to take like, a vacation or something.”
“But it is still night,” protested Jackie, “I don’t think that Apollo would have just dropped his duties like this.”
“But Apollo can take breaks for short periods of time, I think,” said Mallory. “My father once ran into Apollo in Central Park so obviously he wasn’t driving the chariot at the time.”
It looked like Jackie was about to say something but just then Chiron entered the pavilion.  A hushed silence fell over the campers as they waited to see what Chiron would say.
“An emergency meeting has been called on Mount Olympus,” He announced. “Mr. D and I will be leaving shortly to attend. I ask that all campers stay here in the dinning pavilion until we return. Cabin Counselor’s may escort their campers to the restrooms or to the cabins if needed. Argus will be in charge while we are gone.”
People called out in the crowd.
  “Why is it so dark?”
“How long will you be gone?”
 “Have the gods abandoned us?”
Chiron waited for silence once more then said, “We do not know why darkness has fallen, that is why the meeting has been called. I do not know quite how long the meeting shall last but I can assure you all that we will return and that the gods have not abandoned us.”
Helen climbed onto the nearest table.
“Get down!” hissed Mallory.
“No!” she whispered back. Then she turned her attention to the crowd. “I know why it’s dark!” she announced, “My father, Zeus spoke to me last night in my dreams.”
Whispering broke out among the campers.
“Silence!” yelled Chiron. Addressing Helen he said, “What did your father say?”
“How do we know she’s telling the truth?” yelled one of the Ares campers.
Mallory climbed up beside Helen, “I believe her!” she yelled.
“Yeah, sure, I trust the word of two first year campers,” Sneered the Ares camper.
“Let her speak,” Said Chiron.
Helen took a deep breath then said, “My dad, er Zeus, told me that Apollo has gone missing and might have been kidnapped.” She bit her lip, “He said that I need to find him. And Mallory said that that meant that Zeus has given me a quest.”
There was stunned silence all around.
“Very well, a quest then,” Said Chiron.
“Hey hold on!” someone called; it was Mary from the Hades cabin. She marched right up to Chiron. “You’re just going to believe her and let her lead a quest? She hasn’t even been here two full days yet! Are you even going to consult the Oracle? I’ve—“
Chiron cut her off, “It is clear that Zeus has issued her a quest, therefor we do not need to consult the Oracle about if she should go.”
Mary opened her mouth to speak again but Chiron silenced her with a wave of his hand.
“I regret that we haven’t had any opportunity to train her but we should not delay this quest,” Continued Chiron, “Helen you are allowed to pick two companions to join you and I urge you to choose wisely. I also advise that you consult the Oracle for any information that might help you on your quest, but there are not often prophesies for things such as quests issued directly from the gods.”
Helen nodded, “I want Mallory to come with me,” she turned to Mallory, “That is, if you’re willing to come.”
Mallory’s heart thumped in her chest, she wasn’t anywhere near ready for her first quest, “Why me?” she asked, “Surely you’d want a more experienced camper. I’ve never even been on a real quest before.”
Helen shook her head, “I want you to come because you’re my friend. And I heard that your father lead a quest when he was our age, people say that greatness runs in your family!”
Mallory blushed, “I’m not great like my father or mother but I accept.”
“Who will be the third member of your quest?” asked Chiron.
Helen took a moment to consider, she was about to say something when someone came running up to their table.
It was Ben di Angelo, panting a little he said, “Let me come, please.” He straightened up and said, “I want a chance to prove myself to my father, to prove that I can be a hero too.”
Helen looked puzzled, “But I don’t even know you,” She said.
“I know,” said Ben. “But at least give me a chance.”

4/15/14

I'm working hard on the next part of my story.
It's getting harder to keep writing and sometimes I feel like I want to quit but I'm going to keep writing.
I feel like giving you some bits backstory for my story. They might not be totally revelent but they're interesting.
Once I was writing a fan-fic on a fan-fic website. It was about my demigod character Mary.
She was my main character and my alter ego. It was set just after the Last Olympian and since she was 16 at the beginning of my story even Hades (her father) would have broken the 'Big Three' oath. That's part of the reason that I stopped writing. The main problem with that story was that I had absolutely no plot whatsoever. I just wrote whatever I decided and it just failed.
A story with no plot is not a story at all.
So I'm making sure to work on my plot for this story so that it doesn't die.
And Mary has gotten new life as a minor character in this story! She has a ton of backstory that probably won't come into play but it makes me happy to include her a little in this story.
I remember when I first made her up and how she liked to annoy Nico. >:) She once slipped a red sock into his white laundry.
I did a lot of fan-fiction with my sister and our BFF.
Only we didn't write it down, we acted it out.
It was so much fun and we came up with so many ideas and plot lines and weird scenarios.
Mallory came to life during the long nighttime hours of our pre-teen sleepover with no sleep years.
Originally her brother was younger than her and his name was River.
Well his name changed when we got older and our BFF started dating a guy named River. . . it got weird.
Then as I worked on my story I found that it worked better for him to be older than Mallory.
Ben was also a character that was invented durring our years of RPGing out our fan-fics in real life.
Of course originally his mom was a demigod and married to his dad but I had to change that in my story to make it flow better.
You can imagine our heart attacks durring HoH.
"Nooo, now Ben can't exist!"
Of course way before HoH we had deciced that Percy and Nico weren't really keen on Mallory and Ben being close friends so that still works.
Well he does and he'll play a fairly important part in this story.
Hannah is also a charcter that was made up years ago by my sister.  Like Mary she was part of the first series generation, just a few years younger than Percy.

Of course, some of my characters are compleatly new like Jackie, Cassandra, Shawn and a few others who haven't been intoduced yet.

So to be clear,
Charles and Mallory are Percy and Annabeth's children.
Shawn and Cassandra are Jason and Piper's children.
Ben is Nico's son.

I also plan to later introduce some more children of our favorite characters like Grover and Juniper's nymph/sayter children and Leo and Calypso's children.

And for this story Frank and Hazel are also married but they and their daughter (Eliza) won't be main or even minor characters in this story. (although I might mention them) Since both Frank and Hazel are Roman their daughter would be at Camp Jupiter.
(Note: I'm writing my story as if all 7 demigods + Nico survived the war with Gaea even though that is not realistic and Rick has said that not all of them will survive.)

3/25/2014

Hey, I've got over 10,100 veiws!
Thank you everyone who reads my blog!
So here's the next part of the story, it's kinda short but at least I got past some of my writers block. I'm going to have a hard time with the next part . . .

The next morning Mallory’s alarm when off at the usual time, but today the cabin was still dark aside from a few table lamps that had been switched on.  A few of the other kids in the Athena cabin were gathered around the windows murmuring. “What’s going on?” Mallory asked. “Did someone cover our windows?”  It seemed like something the Hermes cabin would do.
“No,” said Lucy sounding distressed. “The sun isn’t up.”
“What?” Mallory exclaimed as she hurried over to the window to look. Sure enough it was pitch black outside, like it was still the middle of the night. “Did someone sneak in and change all our clocks?” someone asked.
“I don’t think so,” said Lucy. “Look.” There were other campers poking their heads out of their cabin doors, even a few wandering around outside. “If this is a prank it sure is an elaborate one, because all our watches say that it’s morning,” Said one of the boys.
“And no solar eclipse could make it this dark,” added a girl named Gianna. “Not to mention the fact that there won’t be a solar eclipse for a few more (years?)”
There was a knock on the door, and since she was the closest Mallory answered it. It was Jackie.
“What’s going on?” Mallory asked.
“Nobody knows,” said Jackie, “But Chiron has called everyone to the dining pavilion.”
Before Mallory could ask anything more Jackie said, “I can’t talk right now, I have to go tell more people to head to the pavilion.” Turning he saw two first year campers sneaking off toward the woods, “Hey, you two I see you! Stop right there!” he turned back to Mallory and said, “Gotta go.” Before running after the campers as they sprinted away.
   “What’d he say?” Lucy asked.
“We all need to go to the dining pavilion.” Mallory said, “Hopefully Chiron knows what’s going on.”
Lucy nodded then turned to the other kids, “Athena cabin fall in!” she yelled.
The campers immediately fell into a line by who had been there longest. Mallory quickly made her way toward the back of the line. Even with a few new campers she was the very last person in line. Seniority counted but when you had more than one camper with the same seniority you went by age and since the new campers were a few months older they got to be in front of Mallory.
“We need to head down to the pavilion,” Lucy announced. “Hopefully Chiron will be able to explain what’s going on.”
“I’m hungry!” protested one of the boys.
Lucy smiled, “Perhaps breakfast will be ready.”

When they reached the dining pavilion it was noisier than any mealtime they had ever had. Everyone was talking and worrying and trying to figure out what was going on.
  “Mallory!”
Mallory turned to see Helen coming toward her. Helen’s mass of ginger curls was a frizzy disaster and she was wearing the shorts she had gotten from Cassandra along with a big t-shirt that looked like she’d slept in it.
“Where’d you get that shirt?” Mallory asked.
“I borrowed it from Shawn because I didn’t have anything to sleep in, but that’s not why I came to talk to you, I had the freakiest dream last night, my dad talked to me,” She said all in one breath. “Is that normal or was it just a crazy dream?”
“Demigod dreams are always important,” said Mallory with wide eyes, “What did he say?”
“He said that Apollo has disapeared, and that I have to find him,” said Helen with a scared expression.
“Your father has given you a quest,” said Mallory in awe. “You need to tell Chiron.”

3/23/14

Hi guys,
I've been really busy (lol I almost misspelled busy as 'busty' glad I caught that . . .) so I haven't had to much time to work on my story. I know what I want to happen next I just have writers block on how to make it happen.
I might get some time to work on writing my story on Tuesday or Thursday but if I post anything will depend on if I get past my block and finish the instalment.
I've been so busy.
Here's what I've been doing.

  • Church on Sundays
  • Youth Group on Wednesdays
  • Youth Ensemble on Wednesdays (singing!!!)
  • Babysitting on Thursdays
  • Rehersals for my church's Easter Program on various days. (I have a rehersal tomorrow!)
  • Skit rehersals on various days. (I'm in two different skits for MTA's for a youth convention in April. MTA stands for Ministry Training Area)
  • Library trips on free days (normaly Monday or Tuesday.
So will school added into the mix I get really busy.
I'll also be gone on Friday and Saturday for a Bible Quizing trip.
I get to go with my church's Bible Quizing teams to a national quiz where our teams could win a trophy!
It will be fun.
So we leave Friday afternoon and drive down to the church where the quiz is being held. People from that church are taking us into their homes for the night.
All morning and afternoon Saturday is the quiz.
Then Saturday evening we leave for home and get back to our church sometime around 12:30 AM!
Then I'm going to a friend's house to sleep (because she and her two sisters are also going on the quiz so it will be easier for me to go to their house so that my mom doesn't have to pick me up from church at 12:30 in the morning.)
Then I will have to get up at 7:10 in the morning to get ready for church.
I might fall asleep during the sermon. . . . I hope not though.
So yeah, I'm fairly busy this week.
Then next weekend I have 'Girl's Night' at our church and another Easter program rehersal.

Also, check out this drawning it's Leo (PJO) and Edward and Winry! (FMA) I only put down the link since I'm not supposed to save pictures to my mom's laptop.

3/12/2014

Hi! Sorry that I didn't post for a while. I just started this new manga called Fullmetal Alchemist and it's awesome. So instead of working on my fan-fic I was reading.
I've read 9 volumes so far and I can't wait to get volumes 10,11 and 12.
When my order from the library comes in I'll probably read them before I write more.
But 3 volumes of manga is nothing for me, I can read one volume in 20 minuets. I was just not posting for a while 'cuz I had volumes 1-9 all at once.
Anyway here's the next instalment of Second Generation Demigods that ya'll've been waiting for.
(Yes I say ya'll. I lived in Texas for 5 years.)

After the campfire Mallory was walking back to the cabins with Cassandra, Helen and Hannah.
“Did you know that you’re the first child of Zeus since the Big Three pact was removed?” Cassandra asked Helen.
“I am?” Helen said, “Is that a bad thing?”
“No,” Cassandra answered, “I just don’t get why people didn’t make a big deal about it. Chiron didn’t even say anything. So we get a child of Zeus and nobody thinks it’s a big deal, then along comes mister son of a demigod and a goddess and we get everyone whispering and wondering.” She complained, “I just don’t get it.”
Helen nodded, “He totally stole my thunder.”
Mallory laughed, “Stole your thunder? Get it, thunder? Child of Zeus, god of storms . . .” She trailed off because Helen and Cassandra were giving her weird looks.
“Don’t worry,” Hannah said, “I thought you were funny.”
“Anyway,” Cassandra said, “Maybe Chiron will say something at breakfast tomorrow. After all that’s when we have a welcome ceremony to announce all the new demigods. Not everyone shows up for the campfire and since it’s new demigods first meals with their siblings we like to make a big deal about it.”
   “A welcome ceremony?” Hannah asked.
“Yeah,” said Cassandra, “Every first year camper gets introduced in front of everyone.” She turned to Mallory. “And that includes you.”
“Me?” Mallory asked, “But I’ve been here before, people know me.”
“Not everyone.” Said Cassandra, “And since this is your first whole summer you get to be introduced.”
Mallory grimaced; she didn’t like the idea of being introduced in front of everyone.
(NOTE: I have no idea why it suddenly changes the type of text and I can't figure out how to fix it.)
Soon they stopped in front of cabin 16, Hecate.
“This is your cabin, Hannah,” Said Mallory.
“It’s shaped like a castle . . .” said Hannah as she stared in awe.
“It’s also built out of dangerous magic rocks,” supplied Cassandra, “If one breaks it will either explode or turn everyone within a mile into a flower.”
“Whoa,” said Hannah. She opened the door and was greeted by some of her siblings. She turned back to the other girls. “Goodnight,” she said, “See you guys tomorrow!”
“Goodnight!” chorused Mallory, Cassandra and Helen.
“So how are the cabins arranged?” asked Helen as they started walking again.
“Odd numbers for the gods, even numbers for the goddesses,” Said Cassandra.
“Except Dionysus,” said Mallory, “Hecate gave up her throne for him when he became a god so he also got her cabin here. So his cabin is number 12 and it’s on the girl’s side.”
“Are they in any particular order?” Helen asked.
“We’ll Zeus is cabin one and Hera is cabin two, since they’re King and Queen of the gods, but I don’t know how the order of the other cabins was decided,” Said Mallory.
“I don’t know either,” Cassandra interjected, “But in number order for the first wing they go Zeus, Hera, Poseidon, Ares, Athena, Apollo, Artemis, Hephaestus, Aphrodite, Hermes, Dionysus, Hades, Hestia, Hypnos, Hecate, Aeolus, and then Iris.”
“That’s a lot of cabins,” Said Helen.
Mallory nodded and said, “And we have two more wings. Well wing three only has two cabins so far, as I mentioned earlier but soon we’ll be building a cabin for Eirene.”
  “Wow,” said Helen.
“Oh look,” said Cassandra as they reached the Aphrodite cabin. “This is my stop. See you guys tomorrow!” she waved then rushed inside.
Mallory looked at her watch, “We’d better hurry,” she said, “Curfew is in two minutes.”
“What happens if we miss curfew?” asked Helen as they started walking.
“Well,” began Mallory. “The harpies are allowed to eat us.”
  “Harpies?”
“They’re like a cross between shriveled old ladies and chickens,” explained Mallory.
“Gross, they like to eat demigods?”
Mallory nodded and as they reached the lower numbered cabins she pointed out number one. “That’s your cabins. The only other person in there is Cassandra’s brother Shawn. He’s cool but kind of lazy unless he’s playing sports or competing in something.”
Helen nodded, “See you tomorrow then.”
Mallory smiled, “I’ll be in cabin six if you need me and my brother is right next to you in cabin three.”
Each girl headed into her own cabin, waving before closing the door just as the conch horn signaled curfew.

I don't have any more story for you today but I found some good pictures that describe Charles and Shawn.
Also, look up SOPA. It's something that I've been hearing about. It stands for Stop Online Piracy Act and I don't know how old the thing is or if it's even being considered anymore but it would make writing fan-fiction a felony.

Here's Mallory's older brother Charles. He's 15.
He can't control water but I liked the pic.

And this is Cassandra's older brother Shawn.
He's also 15.
I thought that this picture captured his laziness.
He's sporty but he is not a morning person.

3/6/2014

My problem: I like days when I don't have to babysit (for whatever reason. Today it was that another one of the kids has the stomach flu) But I like getting money.
See how that's a problem?
Anyway, here's the next instalment!
It's kinda short compared to some of the others though.

“Well that explains a lot,” Said Hannah after she had sat back down.
“What do you mean?” inquired Helen.
“Well, sometimes I’ve made people see things that aren’t there,” Hannah explained. “Especially my teachers in grade school,” she added with an evil grin.
“Wow,” said Mallory, “Most demigods who have powers don’t discover them before coming to camp.”
“Cool,” said Helen. “Can you do it now?”
“It doesn’t work all the time,” confessed Hannah.
“You probably need to practice more,” said Cassandra, “I’m sure the older campers in your cabin will help you learn more.”
Once more the music and talking was interrupted by yet another claiming. This time it was a holograph of a peace symbol over the head of a camper way in the back row.
“Which god is that?” asked someone.
“Eirene, goddess of Peace,” Called out an Athena camper.
“Know-it-alls,” Cassandra muttered under her breath only to be elbowed by Mallory.
“Stand up!” someone called out.
Reluctantly the camper stood, it was Ben.
Weird, thought Mallory, Legacies don’t normally get claimed.
People were whispering and trying to get someone near Ben to announce him as a new camper but nobody knew his name.
Finally Chiron tapped a hoof once. “Ben di Angelo,” he announced. “Son of Eirene, Legacy of Hades.”
This time there was no cheering, bowing or clapping. Immediately the campers began whispering, wondering if this kid was really the son of Nico di Angelo, one of the great heroes who had battled Gaea and saved both the mortal and immortal worlds.
Mallory watched as Ben awkwardly sat down again. Son of Eirene? She wondered. Hadn’t he said that his mother was a demigod, a daughter of Eirene? But Chiron had said ‘son’. If he had meant ‘legacy’ he would have said it. He had lied to her. That was the only explanation.
So if Ben’s father was a demigod, and his mother was a goddess what did that make him? He wasn’t a demigod but he wasn’t exactly a Legacy either. Mallory didn’t know. This was the first child of a demigod and a goddess that she had ever heard of. No one else seemed to have heard of something like this as everyone was still whispering, even Chiron and Mr. D.
“I thought he said that his mom was a demigod,” Said Helen.
“He did,” grumbled Mallory.
  “So he lied?” asked Hannah.
Mallory looked over toward Ben, he seemed really confused. “Or maybe he didn’t.”
“I’m confused, how couldn’t he have lied?” asked Helen.
“Maybe Ben believed that his mother was a demigod,” said Mallory, “Maybe it was his father who lied.”

Hi there, I have the next part of the story all ready for you!
Also, as my sister pointed out, in my last post I didn't post any pictures of either Charles or Cassandra's brother, Shawn. If I find any good pic's for them I'll share them.

After dinner Hannah and Helen caught up with Mallory on the way to the campfire. “Is it okay if we sit with you?” Hannah asked, “Or will we be separated by cabins again?”
Mallory smiled, “You can sit wherever you want at the campfire, and it’s perfectly fine with me if you want to sit with me.”
“Will we get claimed?” Helen asked.
“You should, all the gods are required to claim their kids.”
“Whoa,” Said Hannah as they came up to the campfire, “It’s purple.”
“It’s magic.” Mallory explained, “It changes color with the mood of the crowd, it also gets higher and hotter if people are in a good mood.”
“Sweet.” Said Hannah and Helen in unison.
They were some of the first demigods there and were able to snag good seats in the second row. “Sometimes the first row’s marshmallows catch on fire.” Said Mallory.
“On time the fire was so hot that the first three rows had flaming marshmallows!” added Cassandra as she sat down beside Helen.
“Wow,” Said Hannah, “Maybe we should move back?”
“What? These are prime seats, we should hold on to them for as long as we can.” Cassandra said.
Helen and Hannah looked confused.
“Sometimes older campers make the younger campers move,” explained Mallory, “But if we can hold onto them until Chiron gets here we won’t have to move.”
“Do the older campers really bully the younger campers a lot?” asked Helen.
“Nah, most of the older campers are cool. It’s really only the Ares campers that are bullies.”
Soon the rest of the campers filled in and the Apollo kids started tuning their instruments.
“What’s with the instruments?” asked Hannah, grimacing as one boy blew a harsh high note while tuning his harmonica.
“Sing-along time!” exclaimed Cassandra and Mallory in unison.
“Oh great,” moaned Helen, “I cannot sing to save my life.”
“You guys hold my seat,” said Cassandra, standing. “I’m going to snag us some s’more’s supplies.”
“Sure thing.” Said Mallory as she pulled her feet up onto the bench were Cassandra had been sitting.
Charles spotted Mallory as he went to sit with his friends; he waved and called, “Hi, Mallory.”
Mallory waved back despite Helen poking her.
“Oooh, is that your boyfriend?” Helen asked as soon as Charles was out of earshot.
Mallory pretended to gag and fall of the bench. “That was my brother!”
  “Well he sure is cute.”
Cassandra came back over and passed out marshmallows and sticks. “Sorry Helen, but Charles is mine.” She glanced back toward him, “He just doesn’t know it yet.”
The girls all dissolved into giggles.
Helen and Hannah were amazed at how good the Apollo kids were when the music started.
“How’d they get so good?” Hannah asked.
“Their father, Apollo, is the god of music.” Explained Cassandra.
As the night went on everyone had a great time, even Helen and Hannah laughed as they tried to sing along to the songs without knowing the words.
Every so often the music and singing would pause as a new camper got claimed.
“Gods of Olympus,” Said Cassandra, “We sure got a bunch of new campers this year.”
Mallory nodded. When she looked over at Hannah and Helen they both looked eager to be claimed and perhaps a bit worried that maybe they wouldn’t get claimed.
Mallory was just about to reassure them when a holographic image appeared above Helen’s head.
“What?” asked Helen as the music and singing stopped and everyone looked at her. She twisted and tried to look at the now fading image of a lightning bolt. Cassandra and Mallory grabbed Helen’s arms and hoisted them up, forcing to her to stand. “Helen, daughter of Zeus.” They shouted. All the campers stood, bowed then clapped and cheered as was camp practice.
Cassandra hugged Helen as they sat back down. “This means we’re related!” she squealed.
“What?” asked Helen, “I thought you were a daughter of Aphrodite.”
“I’m a Legacy,” said Cassandra, “My parents are demigods. My father is a son of Zeus and my mother is a daughter of Aphrodite. So since you’re my dad’s half-sister,” she paused and made a face, “Weird but that makes you my half-aunt.”
“Whoa, that is weird,” Said Helen. “So you’re my half-niece but your older than I am.”
“Wait,” interrupted Hannah, “I thought the godly side didn’t count. Or else we’d all be related somehow.”
“It only counts if you have a parent in common. All children of the same god or goddess are half-siblings,” Said Mallory. “But things like Poseidon and Zeus being brothers doesn’t make their children cousins.”
“What about Legacies?” asked Helen, “If you have the same god in your family tree are you related?”
“I guess that would depend on how far back it is,” said Cassandra, “If two Legacies are descended from Apollo but there’s like fifteen generations of different demigod and mortal parents it probably wouldn’t count. I don’t really know.”
“Our generation is the first generation of Legacies at Camp Half-Blood.” Said Mallory.
Their conversation was interrupted by another new demigod was claimed, a child of Hermes. And as soon as his holograph disappeared, one appeared over Hannah’s head. An image of some sort of animal, a Meer cat maybe?
  “What?” asked Hannah.
“I have no idea.” Said Mallory, but you’ve been claimed by someone.
“It’s a polecat,” Called out a boy in the crowd. “One of the sacred animals of Hecate.”
“Hecate?” Hannah asked but Mallory didn’t answer. Instead she and the person on Hannah’s other side pulled Hannah to her feet and lifted her arms. “Hannah, daughter of Hecate, goddess of Magic!” they announced.

2/28/2014

I don't have more fan-fic for you today, I'm still working on the next instalment.
But I was looking at my anime board on Pinterest and found that some of my pictures were look-a-likes to my characters in Second Generation Demigods.
I thought you might like to see how I see them.
(Note: I didn't draw any of these pictures and I do not take credit for them. I also do not know the artists. Sorry.)

Cassandra (her skin is a little darker though)

Hannah

Helen (her expression is dead on for 'I am not amused')

Mary (of course she doesn't dress like this but it captures her personality)
And last but not least, Ben and Mallory.
They met once as little kids but they don't remember it now.
I picked this picture because it was the best one for Mallory and for Ben.
Good pictures of boys are hard to find in anime, all my others were to old looking.
I also liked the aspect of water because of Mallory's heritage.
