Sorry that it's so short, but here's the next instalment!

This quest was going to be different from regular quests. Nobody had ever gone on a quest during perpetual night before, there would be things made easier by the darkness and things made harder. The mortals knew that something was wrong and they were scrambling to figure it out. Many thought that the world was ending. Monsters were using the darkness as cover to commit crimes in the immortal worlds. There was chaos all around and it was going to be stopped by three untrained kids.
They stood at the top of half-blood hill with heavy packs, industrial flashlights and their very own 100% celestial bronze weapons.
“The van can take you into town, from there you’re on your own,” said Annabeth. “I doubt that the busses will be running so you’ll have to be creative.”
Ben glanced nervously at the harpies who were going to drive the van, “Are you sure it’s safe?” he asked.
“The harpies are great drivers,” said Percy, “So don’t worry.”
“Take these,” Rachel said, pressing a net bag of golden drachma into Helen’s hands, “They can be used as payment in the immortal world or to send iris messages.”
“And pay attention to your dreams!” Added Piper. “Demigod dreams are always important.”
The three kids nodded and loaded their gear into the van. Mallory hugged her father, mother and brother goodbye. “I’ll see you soon,” she said.
Percy swept Mallory into a hug, “Be safe,” he whispered.
Mallory pulled back and smiled at her father, “I will,” she promised.
So Percy let her go, because in Mallory’s stormy grey eyes, he saw Annabeth.
After saying farewell to everyone, Mallory, Helen and Ben finally climbed into the van to begin their very first quest.
“So what’s the plan?” Ben asked as the van pulled away with a lurch.
“I honestly have no idea,” said Helen.
